Which Time Are You Living?
Matthew 6:34 NIV
[34] Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Having lived, worked and walked with many I concluded that everyone lives in one of three different times, namely the past, the present and the future. ! Some try to live in a combination of two or all three! .
I’ve been around some who live in the past, there is not a single conversation that the past is not either mentioned or referenced!
(Nostalgics)
Then there is the group that lives as it were in the future. There is not a single chat that reference is not make to the future. You’ll hear these say “ Oh next year I’ll buy this or do this or that then I will look like this or that”
To them it is all about the future, their twi slogan is what we’ve all heard since birth “ ebè yè yiè “ which never comes to be.
( Dreamers, fantasizers)
Then there is the group that live their lives on a daily basis, these take on any challenge that comes their way without dwelling on or making comparisons/references etc to the past, nor postponing to another date or time called “ future.”
( Pragmatists)
Beloved, the state in which you find yourself today indicates which of the three periods listed above you are living in. Your spiritual, social, economic etc state is a function of the time you live your life.
If you live in the past you’ll always be frustrated and disappointed with the present so much so that you’ll practically do little to nothing!
If you live in the future, you’ll be doing nothing concrete today but delight in daydreaming. You’ll be thinking of a non-existent “future”; forgetting that each day is the future!
Yesterday, you called today tomorrow which is the future that has come! There is no day or month called “ future” each day, each month etc is the future.
If you live in the present the chances of making things happen and thus living a satisfied life are very high. You don’t postpone nor do you look back. Each day you take the bull by the horns, if it must be done then it is today and not tomorrow.
What Jesus said is do not live in the future, live in the present, tackle today’s problems and challenges! If there is any tomorrow, it begins from today.
It is today that lays the foundation for tomorrow! A poor foundation today will guarantee you a poor tomorrow! So focus on today so that tomorrow will take care of itself.

Matthew 6:34 NIV
[34] Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Please remember He did not say “ don’t think” but “ don’t worry “ there is a difference!
My take.
