Which Path Have You Chosen?

Which Path Have You Chosen?

Proverbs 4:25-27

NIV

[25] Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. [26] Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. [27] Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

The above words form the bedrock of the life of any principled person! A conscientious person is focused, he does not look to the left or right. He fixes his gaze directly on what is at stake.

He wants answers, he does not repeat questions he wants results he does not beat around the bush    He is a pragmatist, to him it is what works that matters. Solutions

He knows how dangerous distractions and distractors can be so he will not look either way nor listen to what is nothing but mere “theoretical noise”!

What is  next is he weighs carefully the paths he trod, as the writer said “ Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.”

The problem many have had is the failure to give careful thought or consideration to issues before concluding. Weigh the issues, convince yourself of what is true and right then take your stand.

A principled person is not admired nor appreciated by many because he does not bend the rules, nor does he massage the truth. He is more often a loner. To choose this path in life you’ll make more enemies than friends! Even Jesus.

This is a price every principled person has to pay. Joseph paid it, Moses paid it, Jesus paid it. Any man who stands in the way to prevent wrongdoing will pay this price.

Paul said it;

2 Timothy 3

KJV

12+ Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

To “live godly in Christ Jesus “ is to simply uphold the principles of truth and uprightness regardless! So what path have you chosen for your feet?

There are the broad and narrow paths, and each one of us is walking on one! Always examine your ways to see which path you’ve chosen for your feet.

These thoughts came to mind when I found myself among a group that does not uphold principles, but delights rather in pleasing everyone! Good “image” at the expense of truth is what matters to them.
