In life almost everything seems important, the unexamined pursuit of which has rendered many helpless, destitute and disappointed!
Do not follow this path; instead, identify the essentials of life and work to attain them. Key among these are relationship, vocation and belief.
Look for a relationship that will last long, look for a vocation that can sustain you for life, and finally a belief that brings you to the presence of God at the end of your sojourn here on Earth.
Here is how Paul puts it ;
1 Timothy 6

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out
8+ And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
