Timing Of Death: An Unexplained Mystery

Timing Of Death: An Unexplained Mystery

John 9

KJV

4+ I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

These are the words that fell from the lips of Jesus which highlighted the priority He gave to the use of time.

In the context, he was asked by the disciples irrelevant questions! They saw a blind man and then suddenly engaged themselves in fault-finding. Just like some do today.

Read it

John 9

KJV

1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2+ And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

Oh! How we engage ourselves in the irrelevant, and by so doing waste precious time debating and arguing! Not so with Jesus. Anyone who knows he has limited time to stay here does not spend time unwisely. Nor does he /she fellowship with time-wasters.

Hear Jesus again;

John 9

KJV

4+ I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

There have been times when some have engaged me in the “irrelevancies” of life! Issues and questions that lack substance! I am not alone in this   I guess you’ve also experienced the same!

Beloved, the clock set on our lives is ticking and the Lord knew this hence the statement. It is easy to be distracted from goals and objectives which is what pleases Satan.

Be very discerning, there are weightier matters of life focus on them.

Every man/woman transitions this life after he/she has finished his/her allotted time! When our divine mission and purpose here is completed that’s when we transition. No matter our age at the time.

There is a “ divine “ mission and purpose just as there is a “secular” assigned. Both may or may not be the same! Whichever it is, once you’ve finished your “ divine “ mission you’ll be recalled.

It may be that you’ve finished the “ divine” but not the “ secular “ Here is where the difficulty lies in accepting the death of some.

When a person dies in his/her prime it is felt badly and we often hear say he/she have not lived a full life. We say this because we are looking at the “ secular “ ( not the divine) mission on which he/she has embarked!

Jesus died at the age of 33, one of the last words he spoke on the Cross was “ It is finished”. This is with reference to His “divine” mission yet to many it was a big blow to a young man and his family.

According to  “ secular “ mission thinkers , he did not accomplish much ! His life was shortened. But to God, ( divine) He lived His fullest. So yes, it is not about the secular but the divine mission and purpose

I was inspired to write this as a result of a conversation/question etc; a sister had with me. When your divine mission is over, regardless of the secular, regardless of age etc; you’ll be recalled.

So like Jesus; please remind yourself ;

John 9

KJV

4+ I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Be wise!
