Trusting In His Word: Thy Word Is True
Isaiah 46
KJV
4+ And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
I went out to undertake my usual morning routine, and as is often the case, I came across a few older men doing similar routine walks.
Today, I paused and reflected on them. I noticed the brisk nature of their walk. It was then that this verse vaguely came to mind, so on my return home, I looked for it.
God is saying “ look I am responsible for you from birth to old age”
Isaiah 46:4
NIV
[4] Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
Beloved after sixty (not 70), each day is a gift , spend it wisely and enjoy it to the fullest. “Let go to let in” freshness.
The psalmist knew the correlation between time and strength hence he prayed;
Psalms 71
KJV
18+ Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.
I found this very true, encouraging and refreshing especially as I drive distances to teach, preach etc ; to churches that have invited me.
Yes
“And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.”
Thanks be to God who takes care of Us!
