Thoughtlessness!

Ask any crying man/woman
You meet with cheeks in hand, 
Why the crying? The answer 
You’ll receive is summed 
Up in one word.  
Thoughtlessness

Go to the prisons and 
Ask any prisoner in 
Discomfort what brought 
Him/her there! The answer 
Is summed up in one word
Thoughtlessness!

Go to a Ward in 
Any hospital and ask 
A  patient why is she/he 
On admission! The answer
You’ll receive is summed 
In one word: thoughtlessness!

Be invited to a home 
Where tensions are high 
Relationships gone cold 
Ask why? The answer is summed 
In this one word ; thoughtlessness

But what is this  “demon”
Called “ thoughtlessness “? 

It is a demon that afflicts 
The tongue and sets  it loose
To say anything that comes 
To mind without first thinking!

Thoughtlessness is therefore 
A disease, with a devastating effect. It ruins relationships, puts men into prison, hospitals etc.

So think before you speak. 
Think before you act! Because 
A thoughtless word, 
A thoughtless act 
Can ruin your life for good.
