Psalms 16
KJV
10+ For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
This was said many centuries before it found its fulfilment in Christ! Before then many have lived in anticipation of when this prophecy will come to pass.
Yes, “ thou will not leave my soul in Hell; neither wilt thou suffer Thine Holy One To see corruption “.
The final contest between the forces of Good and Evil, between Jesus and the Devil was that which began from His condemnation through his trial, the crucifixion on the Cross, his burial and finally ended with His resurrection!
Yes, by His resurrection He put to shame the nay-sayers, those who out of envy condemned and crucified Him thinking they had finished Him!
Yes, the same will be done to us who have pledged our loyalty to Him, our enemies, our doubters and naysayers shall humiliate and make a mockery of us!
Yes, beloved our enemies will bury us in disgrace, humiliation and dishonour! They will make our names a byword by soiling our image and reputation, but we shall rise to conquer in the end.
Just like how He rose from the dead even so shall we also rise from the depth of humiliation, disgrace and dishonor that our foes have buried us. We shall rise to fame and glory in the name of Jesus. Impossibilities shall become possible.
Yes, he who laughs last laughs best! It is the doings of the Lord, disgrace and dishonor can not keep us down; in the Name of Jesus we shall pull down the “ bars of shame “.
A hymn writer put it this way “Death can not keep its prey, he tore the bars away, up from the grave he arose with a mighty triumph over his foes, he arose a Victor from the dark domain and for forever with His saints to reign!
Yes, Low in the grave He lay Jesus, my Savior! Waiting the coming day Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose With a mighty triumph o’er His foes, He arose a Victor from the dark domain And He lives forever with His saints to reign
He arose! (He arose) He arose! (He arose) Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Vainly they watch His bed—
Jesus, my Savior!
Vainly they seal the dead—
Jesus my Lord!
Death cannot keep his prey—
Jesus, my Savior!
He tore the bars away—
Jesus my Lord!
Beloved, trust in the Risen Jesus in the face of challenges, He overcame and so will you. “Enemies are not God” is an inscription I saw written on a trotro bus. Only exercise patience! Jesus overcame, and you also will overcome!
Lessons I learnt from the death, burial and the resurrection of Jesus. These I share with you. He who laughs last laughs the best!
Have a blessed holiday
