Life As A Laboratory
Ecclesiastes 1

13+ And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.
That life is a laboratory is a truth many still don't know. Every enterprise, every undertaking in life is a risk, an experimentation which can fail or succeed.
If in doubt take a look back at your life; begin from your birth to where you are today everything in between was an experiment; the results or outcomes are what you are today.
Your present state or the conditions you live under reveals how the experimentation has gone, either positively or negatively!
In every laboratory experiment, there are ground rules that must be followed if the outcomes are to be desirable. The same is with life; there are rules, guidelines etc which when kept, make outcomes become desirable!
In our case as children of God, part of the rules that will help us in the laboratory are ;
Ephesians 6
KJV
1+ Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
If these are kept in the laboratory of life here is the expected result ;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
It is obvious that if one fails to apply the above rules in the laboratory of life, things will not go well for him in life.
Another laboratory rule though similar to the above reads like this ;
Proverbs 1

8+ My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
Proverbs 23
KJV
22+ Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
Emphasis is laid on the need to maintain this rule as they are essential to attaining a positive result ;
9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
Another rule in life’s laboratory is
Proverbs 1:10,15

My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them. [15] my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths;
These and many such rules are provided to keep us safe as we carry out experiments in life’s laboratory.
There are rules governing social, spiritual, economic etc experiments; indeed life is a huge laboratory where all kinds of experiments take place.
If you keep the safety rules some of which I’ve listed above then your success is guaranteed!
Time and space will fail me if I were to list all the rules that govern experiments in this laboratory called Life!
