Luke 24
KJV
7+ Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Unlike political candidates who say many things but are unable to fulfil them, all that Jesus said about himself, and what He will do or be done to Him were all fulfilled. He was an amazing Man of His Words who must be taken seriously.
One such prediction is what you’ve read; that He will be betrayed, condemned and crucified and on the third day shall rise again.
When He first said these many were those who doubted Him, made mockery and ridiculed Him, but it came to pass.
In the early hours of the First Day of the week, the city of Jerusalem woke up to “ breaking news ! ”.
Three women on a fact-finding mission to the cemetery where He was buried met with an empty tomb. They hurried back to town to gossip their findings to a few. They gossiped because they were afraid.
But as is normal with gossip no sooner had they whispered this to a few than it became news that went viral.
Reporters and stringers from the Jerusalem Chronicle, Jerusalem FM John 3:16, Pilate FM, Matthew 27:24 and sister stations within and outside the city met with these women and interviewed them live on air.
They described vividly what they saw, the rolled stone, the empty tomb, and the man dressed in white who spoke to them.
They even repeated word for word what the white-clothed man said “Why seek ye the living among the dead? He has risen “
Yes, this is the Man Jesus. One newspaper headlined the morning’s publication with the words “ He said it, and He did It!” The curious nature of the headline made the paper sold fast that by noon it has sold over several thousands.
Yes without a doubt , that Jesus died , was buried and on the third day rose again from the dead is an undeniable historical fact
We worship a risen Saviour. Upon the first day of the week as we assemble to break bread and drink of the cup let our voices and hearts rejoice And may we do it from sincere , pure and honest hearts.
And., remember he who eat and drink in an unworthy manner, ( wicked , evil , unrepentant heart) eats and drinks damnation unto himself.
