He Gave That I May Live
1 Timothy 2

6+ Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Every life needs a support system to live and operate, which is what he/she receives from friends and family! These all contribute to making life sustainable through the sacrificial giving, contributions etc, in all forms!
Jesus gave his life as a ransom, a sacrifice so that we may live! His life was cut short so we can have ours prolonged
Read how Paul expresses this love that Jesus has for him ;
Galatians 2

20+ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Did you notice these words ;
“and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
Love manifests itself through giving and this is exactly what Paul said concerning Jesus! He loved me and gave himself for me!
A few days ago I solemnly observed another milestone, my entry into this world, aka “ birthday” interestingly only a few remembered and sent me words and gifts of encouragement! I was greatly encouraged by their words and display of love These loved me and gave themselves freely to me!
Nothing encourages, strengthens, gives hope and joy more than to know that you are loved and appreciated! A songwriter sums it up like this “ Jesus loves me this I know !”
Finally here is an interesting thing I’ve observed , the circle of well -wishers continue to decline at every birthday, and do you know why? We fade from memory!
It is not only when we pass away that our memory fades; it starts while we are still alive! If in doubt take down the number of wishes you receive each year ! Plot the graph and you’ll see it .
I’ve written this to thank all who gave so that I may celebrate my birthday! Your greetings abd gifts are greatly appreciated As the Lord promised, I pray that this be fulfilled in your life
