Get Your House Wiring Right!
Psalms 24

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4+ He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
As we “ ascend into the hill of the Lord” this morning to offer our worship and sacrifices may we meditate on these words.
The psalmist asked a very simple but powerful soul-searching question, which everyone “ascending the hill of the Lord” ( Church) today must ask him/herself.
He also provided the answer “
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”
Clearly, these are “spiritual measurements” that we are expected to use in calibrating our lives if our presence at “ the hill of the Lord” today will be of benefit to us.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
“Clean hands, pure heart, not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully”; all summed up is simply how we live.
Our thoughts /deeds towards one another. , which is called the “horizontal relationship” with each other.
The Apostle John clarified it when he said
1 John 4

20+ If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
Beloved we can not connect to God if the contact we have with ourselves is disconnected. . Power will not flow and we shall remain in darkness! Until our horizontal connections are okay, the vertical will not work and the power supply will be zero.
ECG will not supply power to any house if the internal wiring is not well done. In the same manner, God will not link up to us when we are divided, bickering hating etc each other. Poor internal wiring.
So if you are not receiving power from on-high, check your internal wiring! It may be off, loose and not tightened properly!
As you “ascend to the hill of the Lord” this morning make sure your internal wiring ( mindset towards your neighbour) is good.
This is how today’s assembly will benefit you. Pure heart and clean hands, it’s all about your mindset towards your fellow worshipper.
