Concerning Registers: Which Is Which ?

By John Tamakloe

Revelation 20
KJV
15+ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Local Church records on individuals are relevant for several reasons and purposes but it should be noted that these are limited to our stay here They’ll not be used in Heaven. Why?

Have you asked why? Well, the question is who will carry it there? If two people are the last to remain on earth then one dies and is buried by the other what happens when the last one dies?

Who will bury him, and assuming the church register was in his custody who carries it to Heaven?

I’ve said these to make the point that some think once they have their names on a church’s register that is.it; they pay no attention to anything not even their lifestyle and doings! Once they are regular at church so be it. They’ll be mentioned in Heaven!

You know this is not the case yet many by their actions believe it to be so.

As you’ve just read God or Heaven has its own register. From which qualified candidates shall be admitted. Names in this register are not categorized or placed under the congregation’s names or where they are located

They are individual names with no country, tribe, etc listed against them. No bond or free, no poor or rich, no black or fair complexioned, no literate or illiterate, no fool or wise! No Laborer or CEO,

They are simply names of people who believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and by believing they gave themselves to be baptized and lived their lives in line with what pleases God.

Beloved this is all that there is to be admitted into Heaven. If you can do this you’ll be guaranteed a place! When Paul said to work out your salvation this is what he meant.

Philippians 2
KJV
12+ Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Church register good as it is for local administration purposes, is no guarantee of admission to Heaven. Heaven has its own, make sure your name is in that one. How to do that is what you’ve just read.

Assure yourself that your name is there. I am sure you know this hymn; it is the way someone summed up what you’ve just read.

My faith has found a resting place,
Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.

I need no other argument,
I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.
2
Enough for me that Jesus saves,
This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
He’ll never cast me out.
3
My heart is leaning on the Word,
The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s name,
Salvation through His blood.
4
My great Physician heals the sick,
The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
For me His life He gave.

Thoughts to share. Salvation is a personal, not a corporate endeavour
