Common Sense,
I am called by that
name, but I am not that
“common”! I am discriminative
I only stay with wise people
Who use me wisely!

Yes I shun the company
Of fools who unfortunately
Are in the majority! The
Reason being they
Have no place for me
In their lives! They are
Always in a hurry!
They don’t reflect, think etc;
Before they speak!

I do reveal myself, fools
See me but can not
Make sense from what
They see. They hear me
But can not understand
What they hear. This is
Why they are not
My friends. Seeing they see,
Hearing they hear but
cannot comprehend! Sad!

Yes, to know me You
Must first have wisdom
As a friend, experience
As a teacher. It is these
Two that I lean on heavily
At all times to speak
Or Act.
So to have me, Common Sense
As a partner, seek wisdom
And make experience
