Clouds Without Rain

Proverbs 25

14+ Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.

In recent times, the weather has been very deceptive; it is full of uncertainties! There are times when it looks like it will rain, but nothing drops from the skies! At other times, it looks like the sun is going to shine, only to remain cloudy and dull! 

Clouds without rain are deceptive; they promise but can not deliver, and so is anyone who parades himself as somebody when, in reality, he is not.  

There are more talkers than there are doers, there are more armchair directors than there are movers and shakers! The failure of nations, organisations, institutions, families, churches etc is the result of having leaders whose actions are best described as “ clouds without rain”! 

Nations, like churches are built by doers and not talkers! Shakers and movers, visionaries, men who have climbed to the top of the Mountain as Moses did, and have seen the Promised Land, though they may not get there with us but are prepared to lay the foundation upon which the destiny of future generations will lie. 

These are not “ clouds without rain “leaders but solid and refined thinkers, promise keepers, action-troopers! These are the people we need today in our quest to reach our full potential be it secular or spiritual.

May the Lord bless us with such people be it in the secular or in the church; because their actions shape both destinies. 

My thoughts to share, as I reflect on our journey so far as a nation and church!
