A Mistake I've Made: An Open Confession!
1 Samuel 26:21
NIV
Then Saul said, “I have sinned. Come back, David my son. Because you considered my life precious today, I will not try to harm you again. Surely I have acted like a fool and have been terribly wrong.”
Like Saul, I've also “acted like a fool “ in many things, just that I'll not call these “ sin” as they were not wrong deeds.
On the contrary, mine were good intentions and deeds that I regretted undertaking. Like most people, I could have walked away but I didn't instead, I offered to help which unfortunately made me regret my actions. I realised upon second thoughts how foolish I was!
It was later that I realised how true the cautionary sayings I had heard but ignored were. “If a person is wet different how he cries, and if he gets dried he cries differently " l failed to see through actions which were my undoing hence the regret
If a person is hungry, his cry is different; when his hunger is satisfied, his cry is different. Surely there will be differences in his cry but not what is heard!
Many have used me in the critical hours /moments etc; of their lives only to “dump” me when things improved! Not because I needed anything from them.
Many knew my house when they were in need, when things improved they could not remember let alone trace, this same house. It Looking back, I truly “ acted like a fool” I wish I had never gotten involved in the lives of some!
Yes, I speak as a human! It's a confession, they are how one feels! It is “ undressing “ to look naked in public something difficult for many.
