A Layman’s Guide To Heaven.

By John Tamakloe

A Layman’s Guide To Heaven.

Acts 16

KJV

30+ And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Many have asked for a summary of what it will take to make it to Heaven., after obeying the Gospel through baptism.

You’ve heard, “What must I do to be saved ?” “What must I do to inherit eternal life” etc. Everyone would like to know expressed in a few words what is required of him/her to make it to Heaven after baptism!

Whenever I am asked for a summary, I refer the questioner /inquirer to the psalm below 👇 this is the best summary I recommend. A quickie!

Psalm 15:1-5

NIV

[1] Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain?

[2] The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart;

[3] whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others;

[4] who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the Lord; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind;

[5] who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.

The above psalm summarizes what it would take to make it by highlighting simply our lifestyle! It’s all about attitudes and behaviours. Everything has to do with how we live and how we relate to each other. If we can meet these requirements then we can assure ourselves of a place!

These must be easy for anyone who is determined and focussed to make it to Heaven to do! Read it again please!  Ponder over it!

Use this psalm to measure your life! Let it be the boundary, the limit to everything you do. Read it every morning and evening.

A thought to share.
